Rapid Response and Emergency Support

Safety and Risk Mitigation Organization (SRMO) is providing temporary emergency assistance and rapid response to the individual members of the civil society including Human Rights Defenders, Women Human Rights Defenders, civil society activists and media workers alongside with their family members who are at risk because of their human rights work or journalism.  Before providing any such assistance SRMO conducts a rigorous assessment of the applicant to ensure that the applicant is a genuinely at risk because of their non-violent activism and reporting. This includes but not limited to background checks, social media pages and reference cross checks to ensure that the applicant have not been a member  or supporter of a violent group or a state or non-state armed actor. SRMO also requires endorsement by a reputable national or international organization of the applicant before provided with the emergency assistance.

During emergency and crisis situation SRMO provides ad-hoc  accommodations for  HRDs and WHRDs and  their family members who are displaced due to generalized conflict, political unrest or natural disaster.
